Agriculture

  • Modification of the French implementation of the European regulation regarding management of fallow land, with the aim of authorising the use of certain pesticide products;
  • Mapping out the players involved in the policy of combating water pollution of agricultural origin
  • Implementation of a strategy aiming at promoting a better acceptability for the spreading of sewage by purification plants;
  • Modification of the rural code in view of amending the legal status of an agricultural joint trade organisation. 
 

Banking/ Finance

  • Setting up of initiatives intended to improve the image of consumer credit with policy decision-makers and stakeholders;
  • Context assessment for the preparation of take-over bid projects in the infrastructure sector. 
 

Biotechnologies

  • Implementation of strategies culminating in the authorisation of enzymes from genetically modified micro-organisms; 
  • Completion of studies evaluating the acceptance of plant biotechnologies in France;
  • Support for the arrival of the first transgenic plants in Europe: implementation of programmes promoting contact with authorities and stakeholders involved;
  • Regulatory follow-up of applications requesting authorisation for putting products on the GMO market;
  • Study of the impact of European regulations on the traceability and labelling of genetically modified organisms (GMO) on the agrifood, food and animal products industries;
  • Publication of several reports on the evolution of the development of GMO in France.
 

Energy/ Environment

  • Strategies aimed at adoption amendments that are favourable to the use of biofuels (fiscal, conditions of use);
  • Promoting the use of fuels of agricultural origin to the Members of Parliament;
  • Communicate to main stakeholders and raise awareness among the political decision-makers on the effort one particular industrial sector makes in the field of environment preservation and packaging waste disposal;
  • Follow-up and analysis of the “Grenelle de l’environnement” negotiation process and its legislative outcome in various sectors: freight, waste packaging, bonus/malus, electromagnetic waves;
  • Strategies aimed at the promotion of specific construction materials relating to indoor quality air;
  • Strategies aimed at obtaining a tax incentive in favour of energy efficient building materials;
  • Follow-up of the environmental information on consumer product issues in the “Grenelle de l’environnement” negotiation process. 
 

Food and Drinks Industry

  • Abrogation of the law prohibiting the use of synthetic sugars in France;
  • Follow-up of initiatives of the French and European public authorities concerning nutritional policy and the fight against obesity;
  • Advice on the implementation of company policies intended to take into account public health concerns in the area of nutrition;
  • Implementation of strategies aiming to: counter the adoption of new taxes on food products, the restrictions on television advertising, the banning of vending machines, etc.;
  • Defeat of a bill insisting on the divulgence of manufacturing secrets by the agrifood and drink industries;
  • Management of numerous applications requesting authorisation for new products (e.g. intensive sweeteners, phytostanols);
  • Crisis management on various dossiers relating to food security (e.g. presence of undesirable substances in products, security problems for food additives, quality incidents in factories, etc.);
  • Defence of the position of various manufacturers in the context of the elaboration of European regulations (e.g. nutritional and health allegations).
 

Health

  • Constitution of contact networks in scientific and medical environments on behalf of businesses participating in the area of health (e.g. slimming, food complements, measuring instruments, etc.);
  • Strategy aiming at improving the awareness of public authorities regarding the risks associated with the development of a sexually transmitted diseases. Setting up of a support network on national and regional levels.
 

Industry / Research

  • Support for setting up of foreign companies in France; feasibility study, management of relations with ministerial offices and the elected representatives;
  • Support for industrial restructurings in the textile, agrifood and electrical goods sectors: management of relations with the government and elected representatives
  • Setting up permanent financial resources for Industrial Technology Centres; more favourable terms for research tax-credits for these centres. 
 

ICT

  • Development of projects intended to ease access to NICT by the disabled;
  • Setting up business contact networks between authorities and stakeholders involved in the telecommunications or software sectors;
  • Follow-up of the evolution of the Shared Medical File (DMP) project concerning issues at stake;
  • Strategies aimed at promoting a broadcasting standard for the Personal Mobile TV to the public authorities;
  • Strategies aimed at balancing the evolution of “fair remuneration” of artists and singers;
  • Follow-up of the copyright and the internet issues (DAVSI, HADOPI).
 

Transportation

  • Abolition of VAT for car rental companies;
  • Improvement of the reputation of car rental companies within French public institutions;
  • Conception and management of a consensus conference on incivility in public transport;
  • Follow-up of the impact of the “Grenelle de l’Environnement” on road transport issues.
